This app is good for beginners

Fantastic

My brother says I am learning at an ever faster rate than he did in his Mandarin class in HS.

Helpful for white folk like me

Im spending a month in Taiwan with friends, and the explore tab is especially helpful

Beginning better than Rosetta Stone

I tried the beginning of both, like this better. Social scoring features are nice too, friendly competition helps.

Great!

Very similar to duolingo, good content

Helpful app!

A great start to learning mandarin. I liked the character exercises.

Duolingo for Chinese

A very well done app, think slightly worse duolingo for Chinese. Definitely room for improvement but it is free so I would certainly recommend it.

Rly Good!

Im a polyglot and I can say this app really refreshes my memory and even teaches me new words or phrases I have forgotten

Really fun app

Im like 10 minutes in and already I can tell that Ill at least get a few chuckles out of my Chinese customers and coworkers. I can see this being a great jumping off point for learning.

Excellent for first time or revision

The exercises are well paced and usually the sort of thing I can do on my train ride into work. The app provides lots of opportunity to learn and revise. It presents new vocab alongside grammar so that progress seems really natural. I started learning mandarin last year and had to take a semesters break. This app helped me get back into the swing of it in the lead-up to starting my second term. While its no substitute for real classes with real teachers, ChineseSkill can work as a gentle introduction to learning the language and as a complementary study-aid.

Amazing!

Easy to use! Basically doulingo for Chinese but 10x better!

Really polished sleek and fun

Much better than other apps. I am having fun learning!

Best app Ive found.

This app seems very similar to Duolingo in terms of quality and style. That it teaches Mandarin makes it exactly what I was looking for.

Great app but limited vocabulary

I love all that this App offers, especially the writing aspect. I also really like that it tests both recognition and recall. But only 4-5 vocabulary words per unit isnt enough. I mean it is for a beginner I guess. Plus this is free, so I can really complain at all. If your a newbie to chinese, this is a good app for you.
